Merced is one of eight elementary schools in the West Covina Unified School District. Merced services students from West Covina and other surrounding cities. Many of our students come from a lower socio-economic population. The school community is well-diversified, representing a wide variety of ethnic groups, which include about 20% English Learners. At Merced, we believe that through a unified effort among staff, parents, and community, Merced Elementary School strives to nurture students into becoming empowered lifelong learners who embrace responsibility, effective collaboration, and self-discipline. In order to provide enrichment activities for our students and instructional support materials that enhance learning, we must rely on donations.
