Since 1893, the Meriden Humane Society (MHS) has been a not-for-profit no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility in CT.  Many of our animals are taken from high risk situations such as kill pounds, cruelty investigations and private residents who can no longer care for their animals.  Our organization is privatley run and is supported solely on donations from the public.  We ar in no way connectied to either the CT Humane Society or the Humane Society of the United States.
