The MPE PTA enhances the school’s 40-year tradition of academic excellence. Being a Title I campus, our goal is to invest $250 per student annually to help bridge the financial gap between funds provided by the State of Texas and the actual amount needed to successfully offer ALL these wonderful educational programs to ALL students. Our Community Partners and Auction Donors/Sponsors are committed businesses, families and friends who make a financial investment in the future of MPE students’ continued success.
Merriman Park Elementary (MPE) is a RISD school located in the heart of Lake Highlands. MPE is fortunate to have a
committed PTA and strong community support. The school is a four-time winner of the prestigious TBEC Honor Roll Award,
has been recognized as an NCEA Higher Performing School and is a Distinguished Title I Campus. Unique to MPE within RISD,
our Outdoor Learning Center is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. All of these attributes, and
many more, help to serve our diverse student population by providing a loving and nurturing learning environment for all.
Each year MPE faces growing financial challenges to continue the tradition of excellence and to provide the same level of
opportunity for all MPE students. The annual auction is critical to raise the funds needed to meet the growing needs of our
students and provide them with resources to stay competitive in today’s world.
