Celebrating our 50th year, Metrocrest Services (Metrocrest) provides programs for individuals, families, and seniors that lead to self-sufficiency and holistically end generational poverty in Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Coppell, and Dallas in Denton County. Metrocrest is one of only a few agencies offering bundled programming in northwest Dallas County, providing residents with vital programs in their own neighborhood.
Metrocrest has used a model of bundled services for more than 15 years. A scaffolding approach builds upon past successes and guides our families to reach their goals. Studies show clients participating in this type of comprehensive programming have a much greater chance for self-sufficiency. Our families are able to construct a stable foundation for their future.
Services include: Housing Stabilization (emergency rent/mortgage and utility assistance); Food Pantry; Financial Empowerment; Workforce Development; GED preparation; and certifications/education. For seniors, we offer transportation, delivery of hot meals and food from our pantry, and install safety related items including grab bars and ramps. We also implement seasonal programs for the community, including a summer feeding program for children and holiday programs that provide meals for families and gifts for children at Christmas.
