Our agency is dedicated to our mission of "empowering children, individuals, and families to live a life free from family violence, homelessness, sexual assault, and substance abuse." We provide emergency, transitional, and permanent housing for both households who are impacted by family violence or chronic homelessness. We also administer rental assistance funds to prevent evictions, as well as help get folks off the street and into rental units. Our emergency shelter and transitional housing are the only such programs and facilities in a 90-mile radius that are designed to help families escape violence within their own homes. To improve self-sufficiency, we offer many other services such as counseling, legal advocacy, and children's services. We also serve as the rape crisis center for 7-counties, and help victims heal from their first outcry until they no longer need support. Our youth department provides a variety of services to prevent and end child abuse and substance abuse.

We have staff who work one-on-one with youth and their families, while others are doing classroom education, and others providing support groups. We conduct several camp-type experiences annually, including a summer camp for youth who are identified as homeless or have other at-risk factors in their lives.
