MCCD provides financial assistance for children challenged physically, developmentally or cognitively. In specific, MCCD provides the means for children to receive speech, physical, and occupational therapy services that are often not covered by insurance. MCCD even funds hippotherapy/equine therapy—for example, Alyssa—diagnosed with cerebral palsy—hippotherapy has helped strengthen her core, increase mobility of her limbs, and improve her speech.
