The Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA) and its Registry of Jack Russell Terriers were founded in 1976 for the purpose of protecting and preserving the unique characteristics and working heritage of this great little terrier. To this day, the JRTCA and its affiliate clubs remain dedicated to that purpose. The JRTCA is the largest Jack Russell Terrier club and registry in the world.

As an affiliate of the JRTCA, the Midwest Jack Russell Terrier Club was organized in 1992 and shares the dedication and purpose of the JRTCA.

The Midwest Jack Russell Terrier Club puts on an annual Jack Russell Terrier Trial and several JRT Fun Days every year that provide an opportunity for Jack Russell Terrier owners to work with their dogs learn about the Jack Russell Terriers’ behaviors and instincts and provide the dogs with training and competitive outlets for their energy. We also invite the owners of other dog breeds to participate and learn how to be better stewards for their animal companions.
