Our school is not like other high schools. We are a private philanthropic school that enrolls students from income-eligible families. As a result, simple donations from parents and relatives is not an easy or expected outcome. However, this will not stop our students from seeing the greater good and putting their minds to work to find a way. Leading up to the actual day of the Milton Hershey School mini-THON, students are raising money in many different examples of student created fundraisers. This year we are already planning to hold events such as a dodge ball tournament, Zumba night, coffee shops and the creation and sale of several different individual student made items. We also plan to collect money at home sporting events and other local areas adding to our final total. All of the money we raise goes directly to the Four Diamonds Fund. We hope to help many children and families who are being treated at the Hershey Medical Center. As a result, they do not have to worry about any medical bills. The Four Diamonds Funds also is constantly researching to find any new medical advancement to benefit these sick children.
