The Future Problem Solving Program teaches students how to think, not what to think by teaching critical and creative thinking skills via a six step process.  Developing critical thinking skills helps students to improve their academic and social achievement while encouraging them to become agents of change in their communities. Students from 4th - 12th grade research contemporary problems and strategize solutions for those problems.  This year’s topics include International Travel, Sleep Patterns, Gamification and Living in Poverty. Components of FPS include Global Issues, Scenario Writing and Community Problem Solving. FPS is an academic extracurricular program. More information can be found on our Minnesota FPS website.

The Minnesota state FPS competition will be held on March 28th,  This Silent Auction at the state competition is our primary fundraiser.  The funds raised allow students to participate that do not have financial resources to do so and provides financial support for the teams that represent Minnesota at the International Competition. this year to be held at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.
