The Missouri Association of School Nurses is the state’s professional organization for school nurses. Our mission is
to provide leadership, promote professional growth and advance the practice of school nursing for the benefit of
Missouri’s students. We believe every child and adolescent in Missouri should have access to a professional nurse
in the educational setting. School nurses directly impact student health & wellness, improve attendance rates, and
are vital in the development of our healthy, educated society.
We are very excited to be hosting the Missouri Association of School Nurses Annual State Conference in St. Louis. Attendance of 175-200 of Missouri’s professional
school nurses is anticipated. The goal of the conference is to present relevant current health education and
resources to meet the ever-growing demands of school nursing practice. This conference provides school nurses
the opportunity to gain knowledge, advance practice, and collaborate with peers.
Missouri school nurses play a vital role in the health of our local communities. School nurses not only educate
students, families, and staff on health care topics, but they also manage acute and chronic illnesses in the school
setting and coordinate care between families and health care providers. For many, the school nurse is a student’s
only access to health care. The job of the school nurse is ever changing and becoming more important every day. l
MASN is seeking to raise $10,000 to assist with conference expenses. We are also accepting donated promotional
merchandise (or gift cards) for door prizes. A monetary donation will help support the conference, which will make
an immediate impact in facilitating optimal health for Missouri children. Your generous donation will be met with
appropriate tax documentation as well as recognized throughout the conference.
Thank you so much for your consideration and for supporting Missouri’s students. By contributing to this
conference, you are safeguarding the daily work of school nurses, who are dedicated to the health, wellness and
education of Missouri’s children.
