In 2008, The Missouri Law Enforcement Funeral Assistance Team was founded as a resouce to assist departments and families upon the death of an Office. The primary focus is on line of duty deaths, but the Team will also assist with funerals for retired Officers and for active duty Offices who pass away from non-duty related injry or illness. Our goal is to ensure that fallen Officers are laid to rest with the highest level of dignity and honor. Additionally, we will work to coordinate resouces to directly support the agency and family such as, chaplain services, mental health support and assitstance in obtaining financial supoort available to the family, including the Federal Public Safety Officer Benefit.
Our organization is a registered 501c3 Non for Profit with the State of Missouri. We are soley based on donations and fundraisers to cover the cost of our operations. When requested our team delpoys to assist the effected agency and family, which can become costly. The team has one fundraiser per year to help raise funds needed to continue to operate. Our annual golf tournament in Septemember. We are reaching out to see if your business would be willing to donate to our charity in the form of monetary donations, services, and or items for silent auction or raffle sponsorships.
