While we hope most of our players go on to play high school baseball, our programs mission is to develop youth baseball players and teach them the lasting benefits or hard-work, and teamwork through competition of sport.
The Thunder Baseball Program is a non-profit, volunteer organization and runs solely on donations and funds brought in from our fireworks booth, summer baseball camp and this fundraiser. All of our coaches are volunteer, un-paid members of our community. Our organization is considered travel baseball, not recreation, but unlike other travel programs, we are less focused on winning games and more focused on building great kids who understand the life skills that are built through playing baseball and team sports. The team of 12-year-old boys that will be playing in Cooperstown in 2023 has played together for 4 years with a few players joining us along the way as we have grown. The goal is to send every 12U team to Cooperstown every year. This fundraiser is crucial to make this trip happen. Our players will visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, stay in team barracks with their coaches, will play a minimum of seven baseball games with players from all over the country, and will have the ultimate youth baseball experience.
