Visit Our Website Our organization, Mommy's Haven Maternity Home, is currently fundraising to purchase a home for pregnant women in need. Mommy's Haven empowers and equips pregnant women seeking parenting options by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support during and after pregnancy. In our society, a woman becoming pregnant is not always seen as a joyous event; in many cases it causes that woman to be kicked out of the home and left with a baby on the way and nowhere to turn. Mommy's Haven will empower and equip these pregnant women and be a fortress in Northwest Indiana where women in this situation can live and receive all support needed for themselves and their baby. They will not only receive support during pregnancy, but Mommy’s Haven will be an 18-24 month full service program that is designed to help them get a solid foundation so that when they leave our care, they are a stable parent and member of society. We will help them to finish school, find a job, educate them on parenting/finance/home skills/job training, etc., provide for themselves, and help them to see the value in their life and their child(ren)’s life. This home will provide for the mothers, but also help their children to live a better life with a mother who is now stable, knows how to care for the child, and is not forced to bounce from house to house. We will help to provide physical as well as mental and emotional care for their baby and children, so that they can become educated and well taken care of in the time they are in our home. This organization cannot reach its full potential without a home for women and children in which to find shelter.
Last year we held our first fundraising benefit that was a huge success with over 1,500 attendees and 100 cars in the car show that brought in over $28,000. This year we are making the event bigger and better than ever! It will be the 2nd Annual Mommy's Haven Benefit at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, IN held on Sunday, September 13 from 10-4pm. The event will consist of food, live music, car show, raffles, vendors, worship service, bounce houses, kids activities and more! We would love for you to be a part of this amazing event in the form of a material donation for our raffles.
