We are a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for a local Montessori School. MWS has been educating children in the Southwest Orlando community for more than 40 years. Montessori World School has been guided by the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori; dedicated to providing an enriching and challenging environment where each child is encouraged to grow to his or her fullest potential academically, emotionally, and socially. The MWS Parent Teacher Organization works as a nonprofit educational organization to support our school and its mission. The MWS-PTO was formed to promote the education and well-being of all MWS students and to enhance the educational facilities and opportunities for the students of MWS that are not otherwise provided for in the school budgets.
Since its inception in 2010, the scholarship fund has awarded many scholarships ranging from $500 to $3000 per academic year. Awards are given based on financial need, a long-term commitment to a Montessori education and a desire to promote the school’s mission and vision statement. MWS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship or other school-administered programs. We are proud of the benefits this scholarship fund has provided to MWS families and hope that we can continue providing financial aid to those in need through your generous contributions.
