At the Moog Center for Deaf Education, our mission is to teach deaf children to talk. And we teach others how to do it, too. Our goal at the Moog Center is to make it possible for more children who are deaf or hard of hearing to talk and to experience success in their lives both in school and in the world at large. We prepare young children who are deaf or hard of hearing to enter the general education setting and compete successfully. To do this, they must learn necessary language and academic skills, which for many students are best taught in a special education setting that emphasizes the development of spoken language. The Moog Center is committed to transitioning children into the general education settings as soon as they have the skills necessary to be successful with minimal support. For those students who need more support, the Moog Center is committed to supporting those students during transition into a more appropriate educational placement
