The Morris Area Arts Boosters exists to provide funding for arts enrichment opportunities for the students in the Morris MN School District. Since 2004, we have awarded over $70,000 for various programs in music, dance, theater, visual and literary arts. Our main revenue sources are the annual Arts Festival and Carnival in the spring and memberships in our 501(c)3 organization. Projects we have funded wholly or in part in recent years include: artist-in-residence programs for the 3rd and 4th Grade classes; working with Community Education to bring in CAAM Chinese Dance Theater to work with Elementary Phy Ed students; paying fees for high school students attending Honor Band, Honor Choir and the UMM Jazz Fest educational clinics; funding outdoor easels for the preschool; sending 7th Graders to the Minnesota Opera; buying special paints for 5th Graders to decorate model rockets they built; sending students to the spring children's play at the U of M Morris; and many others.
