The Mount Pleasant Elementary PTA is focused on making every child's potential a
reality. Our PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and
the community, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
In the past, our fundraising efforts allowed us to purchase chrome books for our schools,
provide funding for cultural arts and enrichment programs, indoor and outdoor recess
equipment, and musical instruments. Past efforts afforded us an opportunity to provide
teacher grants for reading and learning centers. We were able to provide supplies to aid
in the transition to the new learning environment we have found ourselves in the last 2
years. These items and programs were not included in the schools’ budget, but with
donations and help we are able to come together to achieve these goals. Our past
fundraising efforts have supported our schools and teachers and we strive to continue to
do so. This year we plan to match and increase our donation—but we need your help.
This annual fundraiser is successful because many businesses and people in and outside
our community donate prizes. We are fortunate to raise a significant amount of money
to support these and many other wonderful programs for our Hawthorne Elementary
School, which is grades K-2, and Columbus Elementary School which is grades 3-5.
