Multiple Sclerosis Resources of Central New York, Inc, is a 501(c)3 not for profit local health agency, based in Syracuse, New York that provides client services to local persons diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the Central, Upstate and Souther Tier areas of New York State. We are dedicated to creating awareness and providing resources to improve the lives of individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families and to help them live lives free of barriers and obstacles. We presently have over 1,500 registered clients who rely on us for our services. We provide a number of services free of charge to our clients which include, but are not limited to transportation to neurology appointments; medical information on MS and drug therapies to manage their disease; support groups for ms persons, family members and friends; a newsletter published 6 times per year which includes the lastest information and update on the disease; loan of durable medical equipment from our loan closet, men's and women's retreats, referrals, advocacy; a lending library with medical information to be borrowed; professional educational programs by leading neurologists and professionals in the field on the disease and the lastest treaments; grants for land exercise programs, financial assistance for home modifications(within our budget) and so much more.
Multiple Sclerosis Resources of CNY, Inc. raises all its income through donations from individuals and businesses from the community and from fund raising events. We are not part of a large national organization and we are not federally funded.
