Tommy was a soft-spoken All Star football player throughout his youth and high school career. He enjoyed working with younger athletes, attempting to help them develop their own skills. Tommy had a passion for the game of football, and he dedicated his life to being the best he could be. The field was the one place where he could feel free and really be himself. Tommy however also struggled with mental illness for many years, diagnosed at the young age of 10. Tommy tragically lost his battle with his mental illness on May 5, 2017, by suicide, only two short months after turning 18.

Since Tommy dedicated his life around both football and helping others, we try to keep his memory alive by raising money for mental health awareness on behalf of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). NAMI helps support all children, adults, families, active military, and veterans struggling with mental health illness (in addition to providing suicide prevention methods). We will be hosting our 5th annual Comedy Fundraiser on May 14th at Lenzi’s Catering in Dracut, MA. All proceeds raised support NAMI NH by way of our walk team, Team Tommy #5. This year’s walk will be held on OCTOBER 8th, 2022. For more information and details on the event, you can visit teamtommy5.com. Last year’s event was a huge success, raising over $18,000, thanks to the generosity of all who supported us. We are once again seeking raffle donations to help support this year’s event. All and any donations are appreciated, every dollar helps!
