Nankind provides free supportive care for families impacted by cancer.  Our volunteer angels, led by a team of Child Life Specialists, offer free in-home and virtual programs to help kids help kids learn resiliency and coping strategies when dealing with their parent's cancer or death. We do this so that kids exposed to this kind of childhood trauma, can express their fears and feelings, understand what is happening to their mom or dad, and grow up without the burden of unresolved grief issues.  NAN provides free specialized child care to give parents respite and the ability to comply with medical treatment. Since the onset of the pandemic, NAN has provided over 25,000 prepared meals to hundreds of families throughout Ontario.  NAN families participate in our Fun in a Box program which pairs volunteers with kids for a weekly craft project.  Many of our kids participate in our homework club where they are matched with a volunteer for weekly homework support. Our youth ages 12-16 participate in our Youth Meet-up biweekly for psycho-social support.  NAN sends 35-40 kids to camp each summer to maintain a sense of normalcy when nothing in their lives are normal.

NAN provides support across Ontario.
