NCODA was established as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in 2015 to help solve the problem of fragmented oncology care created by mail-order pharmacies, primarily for outpatient anti-cancer medications. The organization has grown from 2 employees in 2015 to 28 employees going in 2023, 9 of which are locally employed at our 9 Albany Street office with remote employees, working from the Albany, NY area, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Washington, Florida, Virginia, and Alabama. NCODA started by developing a set of Quality Standards for cancer centers to implement, and we expanded the idea by creating and perfecting the Going Beyond the First Fill model for the dispensing of oral anti-cancer medications. NCODA collaborated with cancer centers, payers, and employer groups to identify the standards for oncology healthcare practices to create a more patient-centered approach by outlining best practices for the provision of oral and intravenous (IV) cancer treatment. By adopting the NCODA Quality Standards, a road map to success, cancer centers are prepared to take a larger role in each patient’s adherence and overall care.

Our Mission is to empower the medically-integrated oncology team to deliver positive, patient-centered outcomes by providing leadership, expertise, quality standards and best practices.

Our Vision is to be the world leader in oncology by building a patient-centered medically-integrated community whose focus is to innovate the continuity of cancer care so every patient receives the maximum benefit from their cancer treatment.

Guiding Values:

1.    Patient-Centered

2.    Always Collaborative

Our membership is made up of an international healthcare professional community that works with medically integrated pharmacy teams to provide tools and resources that support patient care. We are inclusive to all nurses, pharmacists, physicians, advanced practice providers, administrators, pharmacy technicians, directors, managers, administrative, patient advocate, and financial support staff knowing each member of these medically integrated teams have a vital role to better patient care. This influence continues to expand to include healthcare students as we build our international Professional Student Organization chapters at schools / colleges of pharmacy. In addition to complimentary access to our resources, our members gain added support and expertise from NCODA and our network of oncology healthcare professionals.
