Our mission is to support the members of the sea services (U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps & U.S. Coast Guard) and their families; to educate the American people and their elected leaders about the critical importance of sea power for their economic prosperity and national security; and to support youth through programs that expose young people to the values of our sea services.
Navy League Hampton Roads (NLHR) addresses various needs, problems, and opportunities related to sea servicemen and women and their families in the Hampton Roads Fleet concentration area in these key areas:
- Support for Military Spouses: These initiatives aim to alleviate the stress and difficulties associated with frequent relocations and separations, fostering a strong support network for military spouses.
- Advocacy and Education: NLHR plays a vital role in educating the public about the significance of the sea services ( Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard) to our nation's defense, well-being, and economic prosperity.
- Morale Boosting & Enhancing Quality of Life: NLHR designs and implements programs that enhance the morale of service members and their families. By promoting a positive and supportive environment, NLHR contributes to the well-being and mental health of those who serve our country.
