Network of Community Ministries is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization serving the 14 zip codes in Dallas County of the Richardson ISD. (a 44 sq. mile area) Our mission is to care, coach and empower our neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life. Founded in 1985, Network began during an economic downtrun when several community organizations and churches came together to assist families in need, and from this the term "Network" (of Community Ministries) was born. Last year Network served 27,000 individuals through 195,000 unites of service. Programming includes Emergency Services (Onsite Community Food Market, Mobile Food Market, Clothing Closet, & Housing Assistance), Seniors' Net (food, weekly Senior Day, home deliveries, holiday baskets, handyman service), Stabilization Programs (case management, stability planning, career services, childcare assistance and adult education), After School Art Program, and seasonal programs including Toyland Express and Tools for Schools backpack and school supply support. The average income of our neighbors is $1,300/month, and our families, on average, spend nearly 90% of their incomes on housing expenses.
