The NBFCC was first organized in April 1907 in a small fishing tackle shop in Newark, NJ and is now the oldest scientific angling and casting club in the eastern United States, as well as one of the oldest in the nation. Having recently celebrated its 110th anniversary, the club remains dedicated to assisting veterans, children, and disabled individuals in our state and local communities, as well as promoting conservation efforts around the country. These events include annual veterans fishing trip, Fishing with Special Friends, the Kids’ Trout Derby, Heroes on the Water, and seminars about the importance of conservation at different sporting and outdoor shows throughout the year.
