Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a neurological genetic disorder that can cause tumors to form on the nerves anywhere in or on the body at any time. NF is associated with disfigurement, learning disabilities, deafness, vision impairment, epilepsy, and cancer. NF affects more people than cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, Huntington’s disease, and Tay Sachs combined, yet many people have never even heard of it.
At NF Northeast, we are dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds for NF research and programming that supports children and families with NF.
