The New Hampshire Tree Farm Program is a program run solely by volunteers dedicated to “promoting the growing of renewable forest resources on private lands while protecting environmental benefits and increasing understanding of the benefits of productive forestry.”  Nationally there are 94,000 Tree Farmers who manage 27 million acres of forestland.  In New Hampshire there are more than 1,500 Farmers who own and manage nearly 450,000 acres of forestland.

Each year, we host an annual all-day Tree Farm Field Day to highlight one of our Tree Farms and to allow our Tree Farmers to get together and share ideas and information.  Tree Farmers, families, forestry community professionals and the general public come and enjoy a variety of forest, field, and wildlife management tours, staffed displays, raffles, nature crafting activities for children, and a delicious pig roast/chicken barbeque lunch.  This year’s New Hampshire Tree Farm Field Day is being held on July 20, at The Rocks in Bethlehem NH.  I have enclosed a brochure.

Every year the New Hampshire Tree Farm Committee seeks sponsors to help us keep the price of attendance as low as possible by covering some of the costs of the Field Day.  We also host a raffle and silent auction with items donated from local well-wishers.

We hope that you will participate in this wonderful event by responding to this letter with either a sponsorship donation, or an item (product or gift certificate) that can be entered into the Field Day raffle. All donors will be recognized at the Field Day, no matter what the size of the donation.  This is a great opportunity to get involved in a local community event supporting sustainable forestry in New Hampshire. Thank you for supporting New Hampshire Tree Farmers!
