Taste of College is our annual fundraiser to support low-income minority scholars from Chicago's south and west sides to participate in Summer of a Lifeitme precollege academic programs at universities nationwide. Students are first-generation college, have never flown on an airplane, or left Chicago. Living independently on a college campus, meeting other students from all over the world and taking classes taught by university professors, students return with unparalleled confidence, solidifying their desire for and belief in their ability to be successful in college and beyond. In 2022, 767 scholars participated at 60 universities bringing our total to 9,056 students served since 1997.
