NorCal Think Pink is a community effort to promote breast cancer awareness. We started in 1996, in Redding, and continue today. We distribute 40,000 of our information bags every October throughout the North State area. We hold multiple events during the month of October to raise funds for awareness promotion, and for our 2 community benefit programs. One is the Breast Cancer Detection Fund, which helps ladies with meeting deductibles for further diagnostic screening, and the other is our Mobile Mammography program. We send out a mammography van to a remote or rural area, and we conduct mammograms for those without insurance or that are unable to drive to the nearest imaging center.
