North Cherokee Travel Baseball was created to provide a higher level of competition for talented and motivated North Georgia area baseball players with a commitment to the improvement of their skills in a team focused environment. Our team works hard to win games, but winning will never become more important than teamwork and good sportsmanship, and giving back to the community.
We ask players to work toward excellence, not perfection. Baseball is a fun and challenging game that requires players to develop the ability to overcome mistakes and to look forward to their next opportunity. Ultimately, the development of skills and team focused play will be the guideline for our program, which we believe will create better baseball players and better people.
The goal of North Cherokee Select Travel Baseball is to develop players so they can continue playing in high school. We will achieve this goal by building players to be LEADERS – Taking charge of a situation under pressure... paying the price in sweat, effort and sacrifice... showing the way through good example. By being SPORTSMEN – Showing enthusiasm, spirit and courage all the time... taking advice and criticism in an effort to improve... being humble and gracious both on and off the field... respecting your opponent in both victory and defeat. By being a COMPETITOR – Possessing a deep determination and desire to improve... having pride in yourself and never give up... getting up one more time than you are knocked down... being tougher than your opponent every play. By being AGGRESSIVE – Stepping to the plate determined to hit the ball hard...hustling all the time, wanting to be # 1... playing with concentration, passion and intensity... always giving maximum effort. By being DEDICATED – Being well conditioned through proper training and diet... making every practice and working hard every play... stay focused to reduce mental errors... disciplining yourself to follow team rules and guidelines . And by being LOYAL – Thinking in terms of "we" instead of "I"... sacrificing for the good of the team... respecting the organization and your teammates.
