I am writing to you on behalf of the North Springfield Elementary School PTA, a dedicated group of parents and teachers working to make our children's elementary school experience a positive one academically, emotionally, and socially. North Springfield Elementary School serves over 500 students in Fairfax County, VA. We are a diverse school with 72% of students identifying as minorities, 28% of students who are non-native English speakers, and 39% of our students qualifying for free or reduced price meals.

Therefore, our PTA fundraising events are integral to the success of our school. They are used to support many aspects of school programming and student outreach, including:

Providing in classroom enrichment tools for reading and math
Providing subsidized student enrichment programs for before and after school                                          
Funding student awards and recognition
Funding field trip transportation
Enhancing and growing technology integration in the learning environment
