The Northbrook Community Nursery School (NCNS) is a non-profit, non-denominational pre-school, with the 2023-2024 school year marking our 72nd year in operation. NCNS provides high quality early childhood education in a warm and nurturing environment. The preschool’s core philosophy is that children learn best through play, and the Creative Curriculum utilized in our programs reflects this core belief. NCNS has always been a very active school with many events for the children and parents creating a strong sense of community.

Northbrook Community Nursery School, through the cooperation of staff, board and parents, is committed to meeting the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of each child. The pre-school strives to facilitate this development within a nurturing environment that enables each child to realize his or her full potential.
NCNS believes it is important to serve all the children of the community. NCNS does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, national origin or disability. All children will be considered for enrollment through our established enrollment process and policies.
