(HSNWIA) The Humane Society of NWIA is a stand-alone organization not affiliated with any other local, regional, or national organizations. We have limited financial support and do not receive any federal or government funding. We solely rely on donations to keep our doors open so we can help the homeless animals of NW Iowa.

The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa is a No-Kill 501(c)3 non-profit Animal Shelter that proudly serves Dickinson, Clay, Emmet, Palo Alto, O'Brien and Osceola County. This is close to a 50 mile radius from our current location. We also have quite a following in Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa and have found many forever homes for our animals across these states. Our mission is to promote the ethical and well-being of all animals, as well as providing care, housing and rehabilitation for animals in need until they find their furever home.
