NEST (Nurturing Exceptional Students and Teachers) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit parent teacher organization led by volunteer parents, and includes a community of parents, teachers, and staff working together with Sparrow Academy public Waldorf charter school in La Mesa, CA, to enhance the educational experience of all students of Sparrow Academy and to strive to build an equitable and inclusive community. 100% of the money we raise each year is used to cover programs and expenses that directly benefit the students of Sparrow Academy, including specialty classroom supplies, handwork (fiber arts), library books, school festivals, plays, events, and field trips. Many of these items and experiences help make Sparrow Academy a public Waldorf charter school.
