Our school provide a prepared environment that encourages children from 18 months to 14 years to explore, learn and joyfully master their world. We are committed to the Montessori approach to education, which supports children to realize their full potential both academically and socially. Our Missions is to provide a high quality authentic Montessori education to children of all cultural and economic backgrounds. We strive to instill in children completing our program: strong self-esteem, self motivation, academic confidence, a love of learning, and a vision of their place in the world.
We believe that Montessori classrooms are based on the principle of respect: respect for the child, respect between children, respect for individual and cultural differences, and respect for the teacher, parents and classroom materials.
We believe that children learn best when they are active participants in their own learning and expected to work to their full potential.
We believe that the cooperative relationship between parents, teacher, and child facilitates optimal learning and authentic high self-esteem.
We provide children with prepared adults, prepared environments that scaffold their learning and multi-age classrooms to encourage learning from one another.
Children have multiple opportunities to learn real world skills through our student-led hot lunch program, regular class meetings and individual "goings out" to expand their classroom research.
