Oakwood Creative Care(OCC) mission is enhancing the life and spark joy for older adults with cognitive or physical challenges. OCC is a nonprofit providing INNOVATIONS in senior services while revolutionizing the concept of Memory Care.
Founded in 1975 by a group of awesome women who saw a need in the community! More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and every 67 seconds someone in the US develops Alzheimer’s. Families are given a diagnosis and are encouraged to place their loved ones in a facility with little support, information, training, or hope.
OCC offers a unique solution through Clubs allowing individuals to remain at home for as long as possible. Our Clubs offer classes in the areas of art, movement, music, gardening, poetry, history, spirituality, as well as, wellness with nutrition, medication management, nursing care, education, training, and support groups.
