OAR's mission: To rebuild lives and create a safer community with opportunities, alternatives, and resources for justice-involved individuals and their families.

OAR is a local non-profit restorative justice organization providing human services since 1971. Our history has its roots in the highest principles of human rights, the most practical applications of a community’s enlightened self-interest and citizen action. For over 50 years, OAR has served adults involved in the justice system and their families in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William counties in northern Virginia. We offer classes to clients in and recently released from jail. We also offer emergency services to those who have recently returned to the community in our service area including food, clothing, as well as assistance finding housing and employment.
