Since 1998, Odyssey School has served families living throughout the Bay Area. This unique and independent middle school offers an accelerated academic environment, combined with an expeditionary learning program. Each year our students typically embark on 6-7 expeditions. They have opportunities to climb Mt. Whitney and Mt. Alice on the Eastern slopes of the Sierras. They live aboard an oceanic vessel exploring the ecology of the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. Our 8th graders culminate their time at Odyssey with a three week expedition to Japan where they hike Mt. Fuji and explore Japanese culture.
Odyssey is expert in the unique developmental challenges and opportunities of early adolescence for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. The Odyssey Middle School:
