The Okaloosa County Department of Corrections provides public safety daily. The men and women of our agency provide services, security , and care to those that have been incarcerated. The job is tedious and requires 24/7 attention to detail when interacting with offenders.
As the outreach coordinator I connect with local community nonprofit organizations throughout the year to offer the assistance of our staff to help them complete projects, or help reach their fundraising goals. Participating in these types of activities help give our staff members positive things to focus on.
I also offer Inreach efforts/activities focused on encouraging staff to assist in keeping morale high behind the walls.
