Once Upon A Room Las Vegas Chapter is a 501(C)(3)non-profit focused on enriching the lives of hospitalized children, teens, and infants who are fighting serious illnesses and long-term acute trauma. Our primary goal is to provide personalized hospital room makeovers as well as in-hospital and outpatient events to promote healing and positive mental health in the lives of critically ill and extended stay pediatric patients.
Our Impact…
Room Redecoration program: Based on the child’s likes and special needs, we create a very personal home-like environment from what was once a cold and stark space. Working with the Child-life Specialist, we customize a plan to decorate their hospital room with items they can take home with them as they continue their recovery. It’s important to remember that while these children are in the hospital, for most, their fight is far from over. The cost of each room is $300 and everything the patient receives from Once Upon a Room LV is theirs to keep.
Patient & Family events: Events and Holiday Parties are planned to allow patients and families to have a moment of fun leaving behind their diagnosis, struggle and fight. Once Upon a Room provides experiences for all to enjoy.
