When a man leaves a Texas prison he is faced with an almost impossible task. Given $100, the clothes on his back, and a bus ticket upon his release, he is expected to make a new life for himself. If he has no family to help him or a family of limited means, his chance of successful re-entry into the community is not good. One Man's Treasure, a non-profit organization, was created in 2005 to make a difference in the lives of these men. Our mission is to provide decent clothing to men recently released from prison, living in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, allowing them to adopt positive serlf-images as they face a new world and try to find jobs. It is based on the belief that if they can obtain employment, these formerly incarcerated men will be able to lift themselve from poverty into a positive role as a productive member of society.
