Our mission statement is to provide children with life altering medical and social conditions the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime outdoor adventure. The One Wish Foundation (OWF) grants 2-3 outdoor wishes for children and their families that are having to deal with the daily ins and outs of life threatening illnesses or social conditions. These adventures can be anything related to the outdoors and the OWF volunteer staff help to participate with these adventures by setting up everthing the family would need as well as capturing the adventure through photographs and video for a lifetime memory.
We also sponsor 2 other separate programs. Operation Go Fish is a program in which we invite all of our children applicants and their families to participate in an annual fishing rodeo. We host @ 50-100 people and stock 700+ fish for this program. Operation Bird Dog is an event that is dedicated to our U.S. Military. We host @30-40 wounded military veterans for a guided pheasant hunt and release. Both of these events provide camaraderie among families and veterans and allows these groups to share stories and experiences.
Our main goal is to open a facility in Pennsylvania called the "One Wish Ranch" in which we would be able to provide lodging and a type of sanctuary where we can hand a set of keys to families to experience the natural healing powers of the great outdoors and allow families to reconnect. We are currently in the process of making this dream come true.
