At the Ontario Track3 Adaptive Sports Association, we are passionate about reaching children and young people with cognitive and physical disabilities across the province with alpine sports. Every winter sparks the onset of the ski season and for over 50 years, we have been teaching children and youth of all abilities how to ski and snowboard.

We serve over 100 children and young people aged 6-19 years old across 17 programs and 13 host hill locations in Ontario. We offer a variety of different programs that cater to the needs and abilities of each athlete. All of our programs are delivered by over 280 volunteers, who are provided with high-quality ski instructor training to ensure every individual athlete receives the best support while on the slopes. We aim to continue enriching the lives of children and young people across the province of Ontario through the magic of snow sports for many more years to come. Our mission is guided by 3 core principles:

Inclusion: Enable our athletes with the same opportunities and experiences that are available to other children within their families, schools, and communities.

Ability: Empower our athletes to discover their abilities and reach their full potential.

Freedom: Inspire our athletes to experience the freedom of alpine sports.

We are a volunteer-based organization and because of this, most of the funds we raise go directly to our athletes, replacing old and damaged equipment, volunteer training, and general operational costs. Without support from generous trusts and foundations like yours, we would not be able to deliver our programs every season.

Every year our families and athletes count on us to deliver our alpine sports programs. For many of the children and young people in our programs, it’s their only opportunity to participate in organized physical activity all winter. Whilst similar programs do exist, there is a growing need for children and young people with disabilities have access to physical activities.

We are a volunteer-based organization and because of this, most of the funds we raise go directly to our athletes, replacing old and damaged equipment, volunteer training, and general operational costs. Without support from generous trusts and foundations like yours, we would not be able to deliver our programs every season.

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to see thousands of our athletes overcome multiple barriers associated with their disabilities. There are minimal opportunities for children and young people with disabilities to access physical activity and sports, especially over the winter season, therefore, the need for our programs to exist is vital for kids of all abilities.

Thank you so much for your consideration.
