Our mission is to create a memorable hotel stay following a child’s medical procedure in order to provide support, bring joy and celebrate the road to recovery.
We are a 501c3 approved nonprofit organization with a team who desires to be an encouragement for families who are enduring a tough time due to their child’s medical journey. We provide a one-night stay at a local DFW hotel to celebrate a child’s medical discharge. The stay will be placed at a partnering hotel based on availability at no cost to the family. The stay covers room and tax, meal dining credit, valet parking and custom gifts for the patient and siblings staying. We also provide tickets to local events or attractions to elevate the experience. We curate each stay to reflect what could bring the most joy for the family. Every stay is different based on the family needs. Some stays are placed the night before a surgery and help ease a child's mind and some stays are celebrating a child's last chemo treatment. Whatever the reason may be, we are here to provide a small dose of bliss.
Who We Serve:Our families are referred to us from our partnering medical facilities where we rely on the medical staff and social care workers to determine who will best fit the eligibility requirements of our program. Patient eligibility:
Patient must be 3-18 years of age
Patient must be receiving (or have recently completed) ongoing medical services or critical care treatment
Patient’s family must be referred by a partnering surgeon, healthcare team member or within the Operation Bliss network in order to be considered for the stay
