Operation Freedom Paws (OFP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides service dogs, mental health counseling, and additional vital resources to veterans, first responders, and other individuals who suffer with physical, psychological, and neurological conditions including post-traumatic stress syndrome. These individuals are carefully matched with four-legged healers by an experienced team with decades of experience led by Army Veteran and Master Canine Trainer, Mary Cortani.

The majority of OFP service dogs are pulled from rescues and shelters to become highly trained and loved lifelines. Veterans and other individuals with disabilities are mentored through OFP's 48-week program where they learn how to train their service dog to support their specific disability. At the end of the program, OFP clients and their dogs are certified together as service dog teams. Service dogs enable individuals to heal wounds both seen and unseen, so they can reengage in their lives, families, and communities. To date, Operation Freedom Paws has proudly served 500 clients and their families at no cost to them. The cost to put a client and their family through the program is 20K, which includes all the program resources for  clients and their families. Events are a vital tool in raising funds to welcome new teams into the program.
