The MariaJose Gonzalez-Vazquez Memorial Scholarship was formed to honor the memory of a 1st grade student that tragically passed away in December 2017, and to assist former Oran K. Gragson ES students with financial need as they pursue a higher education. Since the scholarship was founded in 2019, we have awarded over $20,000 in scholarships to 28 former students. To date, 100% of applicants have received awards. We are a Title I school that lacks financial resources and depend on donations and fundraising to support the scholarship. Our main source of fundraising is our annual golf tournament.
