We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in memory of Destiny C. McClain who lost her life tragically on July 18, 2021, due to senseless gun violence. Destiny was an extremely caring, loving and giving person who loved helping people and bringing a smile to people ‘s faces whether she knew them personally or saw them in passing. She was an amazing daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter as well as a devoted friend. She touched and impacted the lives of everyone she encountered in her 23 years of life. We did not want her death to be in vain nor did we want her to be just another statistic so as a family we decided to memorialize her in a way to continue her legacy of giving by creating a scholarship fund in her name. Destiny did not have the opportunity to complete her journey so we would like to help others pursue theirs in her name so her name lives on and she continues to be a blessing to others as she was to us.
