OutLoud's mission is to amplify youth voice and value young people as capable artists, changemakers and storytellers.
OutLoud serves over 500 youth from over 30 zip codes in the Dallas area and surrounding metroplex, providing nearly 700 hours of free arts programming during the summer, school holidays and afterschool. Since OutLoud's formation in January 2019, OutLoud youth have created more than a dozen public art projects that have been viewed by over 30,000 community members.
We primarily serve youth ages 11-18, with some special projects for teachers. Over 90% of the young people served by OutLoud qualify for free or reduced lunch and lack access to high quality arts programming, afterschool and summer enrichment, and equipment to practice artistic disciplines.
In 2022, we opened our Youth Arts Center, a 6,000 studio and exhibition space for Dallas youth to receive access to professional artistic resources, creative mentorship and platforms to share their art and stories with the community.
