OAK is a 501©3 non-profit organization that provides educational resources, support to cancer patients and their families and research funding to raise awareness for ovarian and gynecologic cancers. OAK's primary goal is to create awareness about the early warning signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer since there is currently NO TEST to diagnose the disease. The proceeds from this event will provide educational resource packets to cancer resource centers across our region, support our Annual Educational Summit which we offer free of charge to ovarian cancer survivors and their families, and strengthen our Survivors Teaching Students program where we send survivors to Kentucky medical and nursing schools to teach about the early warning signs of ovarian cancer.
