The Overdressed Duo was founded in 2020 with a mission to expand the reach of classical vocal
music to new audiences by reimagining the concert experience as an inviting, inclusive environment. We
are a singer-pianist duo, and our goal is to dissolve perceptions that classical vocal music is only for the
few. We perform opera and music theater alongside popular songs and Disney. This variety shows that
classical music is not so different after all.

In general, our programming targets the younger family and the elderly, who may not be able to
attend a formal operatic concert at a hall. Most of them come in strollers and wheelchairs, and our
concert venues (a front yard or a neighborhood park) are accessible and convenient. Our audience also
comprises of passersby deciding to sit down and enjoy the music.
