The Oxnard Knights Youth Football and Cheer Organization is a self-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that
serves the community of South Oxnard. Established in 2011, we are the only chapter in south Oxnard under the Gold
Coast Youth Football League (GCYFL), serving all youth between the ages of 6 to 14 years, many of whom come from
the average household income of $35,500 a year who (on average) live four to a household. Our program typically fields
7 teams with over 150 participants.
Our mission is to encourage youth participation in football and cheerleading as a way to instill life-long values of
teamwork, dedication, discipline and strong work ethic through training and education on the field. We strive to provide
an opportunity for our Oxnard youth to experience a quality program that will develop them to become the future leaders
of tomorrow. The recent pandemic worsened the youth sports industry, negatively impacting the Oxnard Knights youth
sports program due to many families currently experiencing financial strains, trying to recover from the pandemic.
Unfortunately, the situation has not made it easy for us, as we are currently experiencing a decline in participation among
the children from lower-income families, as they are not able to afford the tuition costs. As some youth football chapters
closed, many players will suffer from another season lost. Our Oxnard Knights Youth Football and Cheer Organization
has been working extremely hard to provide the community of youth within south Oxnard and surrounding areas with
every opportunity to play and return to normalcy.
Our football and cheer program require a considerable investment of time and money and ours is no exception. To help
build our program into one of excellence, and continue operations, the Oxnard Knights cannot do this without the
financial support from businesses. Like any non-profit organization, we depend on the kindness of citizens and businesses
of our community to help fund our program. Our organization is currently seeking partnerships with businesses that are
dedicated, committed, and passionate in improving the lives of our youth in our underserved community. The Knights
was founded on the principles of family, community, and having that fighting spirit to make it out and prove people
wrong, which is what truly defines the 805. We ask you to consider sharing in the task of introducing endless possibilities
to our athletes by providing a generous contribution that will go towards making a positive impact on our young student
